WHERE IT ALL STARTED

The first PGF transformation is my own. I was on and off the weight loss rollercoaster for a few years. I would lose and gain and lose again until finally, I gained a significant amount in a short period, weighing in at 385 pounds. I felt hopeless and embarrassed. I went on a mission to lose weight on my own before seeking help from medical professionals; I was seriously considering weight loss surgery, among other intense treatments that I was willing to undergo to feel well again.
After losing 70 pounds, my weight loss came to a halt, prompting me to seek help. My doctors diagnosed me with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. They classified me as morbidly obese and prescribed medication to manage my weight and chronic illnesses. However, these medicines had a detrimental effect on my overall well-being, leading to severe dehydration and a path towards kidney failure. At one point, I was taking over a dozen different prescribed medications and was in a state of misery.
It was a moment of awakening as I left the pharmacy with a large white bag filled with medication. I declared, “This is it,” and made a solemn vow to myself to fight for my health. I was ready to make any necessary sacrifices to enhance the quality of my life. As I continue on my journey to better health, I hope my story and advice will ignite a spark in others to take charge of their health.

The mission of P.R.E.T.T.Y. Girl Fitness, LLC is to foster an environment that encourages women from all backgrounds, shapes, and sizes to embrace their ‘pretty’ one rep at a time. Every worthwhile endeavor begins with a small step, and we are here for you, so choose to live your best life in a healthy body.

TRANSFORMATIONS

I have lost almost 20 lbs.!
Throughout my life I have struggled with my weight. Trying different ways to lose weight only to gain it back again, plus some.
When I was diagnosed with boarder line diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure I decided it was time to do something about it. Now! For me, my husband, my kids and my grandkids.
Back in October of 2023, Ronni Walker started Pretty Girl Fitness at The Refuge. I signed up for her class. What a blessing it has been. I now workout 4 days a week with Pretty Girl Fitness.
Ronni has also encouraged me to change my eating habits. Making healthier choices with the food I eat along with exercising has really helped me on my weight loss journey.
I feel better, I have more energy, and I am reaching my goals! After losing about 10 lbs. My A1C is normal, my cholesterol is lower, and my blood pressure is where it should be. My size 24 jeans are too big!
Seeing results and feeling good along with Ronni’s encouragement has kept me motivated to stay on the course. I still have a long way to go, but I will get there soon.

Ever since I have started aerobics with my trainer, Ronni, I feel better, and my attitude has gotten better. I’ve been able to lose some of my weight, so this exercise class has been beneficial and an added bonus to my daily routine.
